Hello, everyone! My name is Eric Gordon. I grew up in East Peoria and went to school there. I spent some time at ICC and I finished my undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. A few years down the road I earned my Masters of Divinity degree from Luther Rice College and Seminary (it’s down in Georgia). I spent a few years as a program director for the Salvation Army, running summer day camps, after school programs, and tutoring. I spent about 5 years as a youth pastor in Morton. I have been involved, on some level, with just about every kid’s ministry that I have ever come across. So, I have a deep love of teaching God’s word and seeing it understood in a new way by those I have the opportunity to teach. I also love teaching, period. I have been married for 13 years. My wife and I have two adorable daughters. Josie is 5 and in kindergarten here at CLS, and Eliza is 2. I love games and, therefore, adore group game nights (so, let me know if you want to have one). I love playing basketball and disc golf and I’m pretty good at anything that involves a ball or throwing something at another thing. I’m so glad to have this opportunity to teach the Gospel (and all the other important stuff) to these powerful kids.
