The mission of Christ Lutheran School is to partner with families to equip children academically and spiritually in a loving Christ-centered environment in order to prepare the next generation to be lifelong, faithful Christians.

The school office is open 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.  Monday through Friday.

The front door is open for students to enter at 7:45 a.m.

Students who using the Before Care program or are eating breakfast please enter through Door #6 

Before Care starts at 6:30 a.m. and and breakfast starts at 7:15 a.m.

Christ Lutheran has full-day kindergarten through eighth grade.

We also offer a Childcare / Pre-School program for students ages three to five. The program is held at Christ Lutheran Church. Please call 309-637-4755 for additional information about the Childcare / Pre-School program 

We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Students at Christ Lutheran come from a wide range of Christian beliefs, and we foster an environment of cultural sensitivity and mutual respect.

We invite prospective families to visit our campus during an Open House event, personal tour, or a school event. Please click on School Registration to see specific steps in completing the application process. Classroom visits are encouraged.

All teachers hold Bachelor’s degrees in education. Most are synodically trained at one of our Lutheran universities. All of our teachers have years of experience in the classroom.

Currently our enrollment is at 170 students. We offer one class per grade level.

Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms. Please refer to the Dress Code provided online.

Yes, before-school care is available from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. and after-school care from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Please call the school office for more information.

During the school day everyone must check in through the school office. All interior doors that are accessible to visitors are locked and all exterior doors are locked and accessible by a buzzer system. Security cameras are installed throughout the building. Students are taught proper security procedures for internet use.

Christ Lutheran operates a well-balanced breakfast and lunch program prepared on-site. Monthly menus are available on our website. Students may choose a free hot lunch or bring a cold lunch from home on a day to day basis.

Christ Lutheran School places a high value on communication with our school families and utilizes a number of communications methods to share information including teachers’ letters, newsletters, TeacherEase online grade book, One Call and Facebook.
