What is Christ Lutheran School’s mission statement?

The mission of Christ Lutheran School is to partner with families to equip children academically and spiritually in a loving Christ-centered environment in order to prepare the next generation to be lifelong, faithful Christians.

What are your hours of operation?

The school office opens at 7:30 a.m. The office remains open until 4:00 p.m.

School begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.  Monday through Friday.

The school doors will be open at 7:20 a.m. for students eating breakfast or 7:40 a.m. for other students not using the Before School Care Program.

Before School Care starts at 7:00 a.m. and is located in the old gym. After School Care runs until 5:30 p.m. and is located in the church parish hall.

How do I set up an appointment for a visit to the school?

Contact the school office to schedule an appointment with Christ Lutheran’s principal.

What grade levels are offered?

We offer a PreSchool program for students ages three to five which is held at the church parish hall. We have full day kindergarten through eighth grade.

Is your school affiliated with a religious organization?

We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Students at Christ Lutheran come from a wide range of Christian beliefs, and we foster an environment of cultural sensitivity and mutual respect.

What are the steps in the admissions process?

We invite prospective families to visit our campus during an Open House event, personal tour, or a school event. Please click on School Registration to see specific steps in completing the application process. Classroom visits are encouraged.

Can prospective students spend a day at the school?

Yes, we welcome prospective students to spend time with us. Call the school office to schedule a visit.

Can a student enroll during the school year?

Yes, students may enroll during the school year if the classroom has not reached its enrollment limit.

What credentials do Christ Lutheran’s teachers have?

All teachers hold Bachelor’s degrees in education. Most are synodically trained at one of our Lutheran universities. All of our teachers have years of experience in the classroom.

How many students attend Christ Lutheran School?

Currently our enrollment is at 160 students. We offer one class per grade level.

Are students required to wear uniforms?

Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms. Please refer to the Dress Code provided online.

Is Extended Care available?

Yes, before-school care is available from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. and after-school care from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. To learn more about extended care, click here.

How does Christ Lutheran keep students safe?

During the school day everyone must check in through the school office. All interior doors that are accessible to visitors are locked and all exterior doors are locked and accessible by a buzzer system. Security cameras are installed throughout the building. Students are taught proper security procedures for internet use.

How does the meal program work?

Christ Lutheran operates a well-balanced breakfast and lunch program prepared on-site. Monthly menus are available on our website. Students may choose a free hot lunch or bring a cold lunch from home on a day to day basis.

How does the school keep in contact with parents?

Christ Lutheran School places a high value on communication with our school families and utilizes a number of communications methods to share information including teachers’ letters, newsletters, TeacherEase online grade book, One Call and Facebook.
