Christ Lutheran Preschool is very excited to start the new school year. We can’t wait to see old friends and make lots of new friends too. It is the purpose of Christ Lutheran Preschool to provide a safe yet stimulating environment for children ages 3 to 6. We offer a program, which provides a variety of learning experiences, which will help each child develop his or her character. Through Christian love and caring, we will address the emotional, spiritual, physical, intellectual, and nutritional needs of each child. Individual growth and development will take place in both structured and non-structured activities.
Our program provides for both active and quiet play, indoor and outdoor. Teachers plan weekly thematic learning units and religion units with activities that stimulate a young child’s growth physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. In addition, we offer preschool training with activities in language, art, music, dramatic play, science, math, fine motor, and gross motor. Classrooms are arranged into interest areas that encourage “hands on” learning.

Meet Christ Lutheran Child Care’s Teachers
Caring and Passionate
Christ Lutheran Child Care centers’ teachers are passionate about your child’s happiness, growth and safety, and providing a nurturing environment that cultivates self-esteem. This is more than a job for our teachers. It’s an opportunity for them to share their passion for life while they inspire, engage, and awaken the wonder inside each and every child.
Small Class Size
Christ Lutheran Child Care’s low teacher-to-student ratios allow teachers to focus on the individual learning styles and needs of each child in our Preschool center.
Partnering with Families
Christ Lutheran Child Care’s teachers and staff want to form a strong partnership with you to ensure the best possible experience for your child. Teachers provide daily communication with families and seek to understand your unique needs.
Meet Our Friendly Teachers
Sarah Beintema
I am the Teachers’ Aide at Christ Lutheran Preschool. I have been with Christ Lutheran for four years. I have completed many different childhood courses, such as Parenting and Early Childhood Development at Illinois Central College. I greatly enjoy working with children and helping them to grow and learn. I believe children need to learn in a fun, encouraging, and comfortable environment. I try my best to provide that environment for our students.
Sandra Foster
I am the Two’s teacher at Christ Lutheran Preschool. I have been with Christ Lutheran for five years. I’ve worked as a Daycare and Preschool teacher for over fifteen years. I received a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Goshen College in Goshen Indiana. I also completed several childhood courses at Illinois Central College.
I’ve taught Sunday school for many years at my home church and received training in Child Evangelism through Child Evangelism Fellowship.
I have been able to draw on my experience and education, which has equipped me to provide the kind of learning environment that makes learning enjoyable.
