Dear Parents:

I would like to share February highlights. In addition, please check the calendar as it contains a great deal of information about upcoming events.

1. Please join us on Feb. 8th for our kick off for Black History month with an assembly at 2:00 in Gym A. The 8th graders will present a skit about Harriet Tubman. We would love to have you attend!

2. Our very own CLS tournament is February 17-19! The students are getting excited and preparing for the big weekend. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! Please offer to help-snack bar, hall guard, clean up or any area of your preference. Please note that we don't have school on Friday, Feb. 17 or Monday, Feb. 20 (President's Day).

3. The students are continuing their work on the research paper. Next Monday all note cards and source cards are due.

4. AR for this week is 33% for an A. Eligibility is 23% by Friday. The 8th graders need to be at 50% by the CLS tournament, which is mid-term.

5. A booklet was given to all Dist. 150 students with information about high school. Limestone students have received their packet of information. When we get the dates for counselor visits and class registration, I will contact you.
