Students & Parents:

     Welcome back to CLS! We are off to a pretty good start with just a few bad habits we must change. Please make sure you are properly dressed everyday, ready to learn and on time to school!

     We are starting the year with the U.S. Constitution which is the blue soft cover book the students should be bringing home on a regular basis. The student must pass this test with an 80% in order to graduate from CLS. Parents, please encourage your child to make flash cards of facts and begin studying now.

     The 8th graders will be able to go to the library next Wednesday and check out AR books. Remember, you can check his/her progress on line now. We are also reading the novel Outsiders which will count as an AR book.

     We will begin our writing program, My Access, later this week. Again, you can become familar with it by looking at the website found on our clspeoria.org website.
