8th Grade ::

Dear Parents & Students:
8th grade seems to off to a good start, with just a few students needing some reminders of what is expected of them. Since this is the last year before high school it is imperative that your child show maturity and responsibility in his/her behavior and school work. I have just a few key points I would like to highlight.
1. Students who come to school after 8:00 a.m. are really behind schedule. They have many repsonsibilities in the morning in order to be prepared by 8:15. Please assist them by getting to school before 8:00 if possible.
2. We have memory verses, creeds, and prayers each Friday. Your child has a copy of Sept. memory. Tomorrow's memory is their choice: the Lord's Prayer or the Morning Prayer. It must be written and a score of 75% or higher is passing.
3. PE classes have begun. Please make sure your chld has his/her gym clothes: CLS t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes.
4. Fall fundraiser- I am encouraging every student to sell 10 items. This will help tremendously! Since the upper graders use a great deal of money the P.T.L. raises( tournament entry fees, new accelerated reader books, referee fees for volleyball and basketball games) it is important for them to do their best.
5. Students should be at 10% of their AR goal by tomorrow. Please make sure your child is reading each night so that they don't fall behind!
Thanks for all your help and cooperation at home. Please contact me if you have any questions!
God's blessings,
Mrs. Mooney
