4th Grade ::

Here's the news for the week in 4th grade.
We need 78% of our goal for Fun Friday, and 55% for recess and sports. This is a shorter grading period, and Friday, May 15th will be the last day for tests.
Congratulations to Rae'Venn and MacKenzie who already have 100% of their goal for this grading period! Also, congratulations to Dawson who finished another sticker chart!
There are no Spelling or Reading tests this week because we are reading Little House on the Prairie. We are also working on note taking in our Illinois books. We will have a test on the book when we are finished, probably next week. Students should be reviewing their notes.
We will be finishing Psalm 139:1-16 this week for Memory. The children have done a great job with this memory verse! Listen to them say it.
Thursday is our school musical. Please have your child here by 6:00 pm. This should be a fun evening of entertainment. The children have been working extremely hard.
On Friday, May 1st, Chuck Collins from WMBD weather will be here at our school to talk to the 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. Please have your child watch the WMBD news before Friday so they are familiar with him. Thanks to Mrs. Kelly for arranging for him to be here!!!
Next Monday, May 4th, is our field trip to New Salem. The following parents have volunteered to go along as chaperones: Mrs. Seling, Ms. Ferguson, Mrs. Zell, and Mrs. Stage. If this has changed, please let Mrs. Von Behren know right away. On that day, the children need to wear their uniform shirts, but they may wear jeans and tennis shoes. We will be doing a lot of walking. Students and chaperones need to bring a sack lunch and drink also. (Please be sure everything is "throw away" including the lunch sack.)
