4th Grade ::

This is our news for the week.
This is the first week of the new grading period, so we are starting all over with our AR goals. We will be concentrating very hard on keeping our Average % Correct above 85%. We set our new goals Monday, and some are lower because books will not be checked out the last week of the grading period. We need 11% of the goal for Fun Friday, and 8% for recess and sports eligibility. Everyone in our 4th grade class earned 100% of their AR goal the third grading period. Whoohoo! We are so proud of these hard workers!
Congratulations also to Alex who finished another sticker chart!
We will have Reading and Spelling tests this Friday.
Memory is the Third Article of the Creed:
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
What does this mean? I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him;*** but the Holy Spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith. In the same way He calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. In this Christian church He daily and richly forgives all my sins and the sins of all believers. On the Last Day He will raise me and all the dead, and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ. This is most certainly true.
Achievement Tests will be next week in the mornings starting on Monday. Please be sure your child is well rested and eats a good breakfast before coming to school. Also, please see that appointments, etc. are not scheduled for these mornings, because completing the tests with the class in the morning when we are fresh is much better than trying to make them up later in the day.
There is a re-enrollment form in the report card. Be sure to return it soon to reserve your child's place in the fifth grade next year!
Have a blessed week,
Mrs. Bremer and Mrs. Von Behren
