Thanks to so many of you who showed up for our Open House. It was good to see so many of you here. The children did such a good job on their projects that were displayed.
We will have a small Valentine’s Day party on Friday. You can send in valentines/and or small treats that day. Please do not send any cupcakes.
We need 55% of our AR goal for Fun Friday and 39% for sports eligibility and recess with 85% accuracy. If your child's accuracy is lower that 85%, please read books together so we can get 100's and bring this up.
Social Studies test will be Tuesday, February 10th, on Chapter 8. Please study Vocabulary for extra credit, too.
Reading and Spelling tests will be Friday.
Congratulations to Marissa who finished her 2nd sticker chart! Congratulations also to our Star Spellers – Juwan, Breonna, Auja, Maren, Alyssa, and Kenzie.
Memory for this week will be all of the First Article and Meaning due on Friday.
The First Article
I believe in God, The Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
What does this mean? I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that He has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them.
He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, wife and children, land, animals, and all I have. He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.
He defends me against all danger and guards and protects me from all evil.
All this He does only out of fatherly divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me. For all this it is my duty to thank and praise, serve and obey Him. This is most certainly true.
