For AR we need 44% for Fun Friday and 30% for sports eligibility and recess. If your child is not at the Fun Friday level, please be sure plenty of time is spent reading at home each night and on the weekends.
Spelling and Reading tests will be Thursday this week.
Sunday 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders can come to Barnes and Noble to sing songs from our musical for the Book Fair. Children will receive extra credit for music and need to be there by 12:45p.m. We will sing at 1:00. They should wear a solid color white, red or blue shirt. If there are siblings in other grades who know the songs, they are welcome to join us and will also receive extra credit.
We still need adult chaperones for our field trip May 6th. If you can arrange to be there, it will be greatly appreciated.
Our Memory for Friday will be the Second Article and meaning.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
What does this mean? I believe that Jesus Christ, true God, begotten of the Father from eternity, and also true man, born of the Virgin Mary, is my Lord, who has redeemed me a lost and condemned person, purchased and won me from all sins, from death, and from the power of the devil; not with gold or silver, but with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death, that I may be His own and live under Him in His kingdom and serve Him in everlasting righteousness, innocence, and blessedness, just as He is risen from the dead, lives and reigns to all eternity. This is most certainly true.
We will have a Math test on Friday over Chapter 8.

Remember to invite your family and friends to our school musical this Thursday at 6:30p.m. This counts as a double music grade. Have your child there by 6:00 pm.
