4th Grade ::

Dear Parents and Grandparents,
In the Tuesday folder are your child's papers for the week. Please go over them together. If there are areas your child is not doing well, now is the time to spend extra time going over homework at home to assure the grades come up.
For AR we need 22% of our goal for Fun Friday and 15% for recess and sports eligibility. For both we need 85% accuracy. If the accuracy is below 85%, we need to read lower level books to get some 100's and bring the percentage up.
Memory for this week is Psalm 100. Verses 1 and 2 were said last week. This week all of the Psalm will be recited. We work on this each day at school. They do a great job on it!
Please make sure your child has a pair of tennis shoes to be left at school for P.E. I would also appreciate knowing if any of your children have asthma and need an inhaler. We do lots of running in P.E., and I plan on having them be able to run a mile without stopping by year-end.
Reading and Spelling tests will be Friday. Please practice the spelling words at home each night if your child is not a Star Speller. They can also access Spelling City.com through the classroom site resources tab and practice the week's words in many fun activities.
If your child has any food allergies, please send a note so we're aware and can help monitor what is eaten at school.
Remember the fundraiser sale ends next Tuesday, September 14th.
We will start our Student of the Week next week, and the first will be Apryl. Please send pictures and any special items your child would like to show to the class (hobbies, etc.) on Monday. In the folder is a schedule of the dates and students for the whole class for this year.
We are off to a great start for the year! Thanks for sharing your wonderful children with us!
In Christ,
Mrs. Bremer and Mrs. Von Behren
