Dear Parents and Grandparents,

What a joy it is to have your children in our 4th grade class!  They are settling in to the new routine and doing very well.  This promises to be a really great year!  You will receive a newsletter like this each week in the Tuesday folder.  Please cut off and sign the response form at the bottom of the newsletter as well at the front insert sheet, and return them in the folder on Wednesday.

Congratulations to our LONG list of Star Spellers this week: Apryl, Alexandra, Logan, Kelsey, Kyesha, Kaydem, and Kyler!  Way to go!  They don't have to take the Spelling test on Friday. 

Reading and Spelling tests will be Friday.  The questions for the Reading test are in the Reading Practice book.  The children may look over the questions, but not fill in any answers before the test.

Each week we will have a new goal for Accelerated Reader for recess and Fun Friday.  This year the children must have 85% accuracy each week to earn Fun Friday.  This week they need 11% of their goal, also. In the 4th grade Accelerated Reader is a separate grade on the report card, so you will want to monitor this closely.

Library will be on Tuesdays.  Please be sure all library books are at school on that day to avoid fines.
