4th Grade ::

School is starting soon! I hope you have had a great summer and are ready to get back into the school routine. One of the hardest things will be to get used to getting up early again. To make that transition easier, start going to bed earlier now and get up earlier in the morning.
I will be teaching in the afternoons in the fourth grade. I will teach religion, memory, math, science, and PE.
I love to watch the growth in their math skills in the fourth grade. We work a lot on the basic math facts using the computer lab to help in this area. "Math Facts in a Flash" is a program on our computers that we use.
Memory work this year is done a lot at school. We will be memorizing much longer passages of Scripture. You will love hearing how well they can recite some of these great Bible passages.
We study many Bible stories in our religion books. As we learn more about Jesus and the Bible, I pray that our love and faith in Him will grow.
Your child will need a pair of tennis shoes for PE that can be left at school. We will be working towards being able to run a mile without stopping by the end of the year. If your child has asthma or something that would keep him/her from being able to do this, please let me know.
I am looking forward to a great year! See you soon!
