Dear Parents,
What a great start we've had to the school year!
Included in this folder are your child's papers for the week and some important notes. Please look them over and return the response form tomorrow. Each Tuesday papers will go home in the purple Tuesday folder, and the folder should be returned on Wednesday with your signature on the proper date and any response forms placed in the folder. Please keep your child's papers.
This school year offers some exciting changes for 4th graders at CLS. You can access your child's grades through the Teacherease web site, and you can check on their AR progress on the Accelerated Reader web site. Both sites are accessible from the home page at www.clspeoria.org . The links are on the left side of the home page. We want you to check the AR every Tuesday and fill in the information on the response form. This will help you keep your child on track each week.
We have a Star Speller this week who studied the words over the weekend and earned a 100 on the pre-test: Izaiah. Congratulations!
This Week:
Memory: Psalm 100, begin working on this.
Reading and Spelling tests will be Friday. Reading test questions are in the Practice book.
Friday: by the end of the week each child needs to take at least 1 AR test other than You are Special or Henry and Ribsy.
Wednesday: Chapel at 10:00
Band meeting in the foyer by the office 4:00
5:30 Cub Scout meeting for boys
Next Monday: Spelling pre-test. Those who get a 100 will not have to take the Spelling on Friday.
Tuesdays: Library: all books must be returned or renewed to avoid fines.
