Dear Parents,
Memory work should be practiced daily at home. If for some reason you lose your sheet, please check the school website. Please assist your child with the names.
Please encourage your child to bring schoolwork home for you to check over before handing in the next day. Grammar and Phonics workbooks are sometimes tricky, and this can alleviate unnecessary corrections.
In computer class we began our keyboarding skills using the Mavis Beacon program. If you have a computer at home, it would be helpful to have your child practice the new techniques so the new skills will be reinforced.
Last week we had two special events. On Wednesday the “Fish Guy” showed us some of the creatures from our Illinois lakes/rivers. The Peoria Co. Health Dept. spoke to us on Friday about keeping our bodies clean. I hope that your child shared these experiences with you.
Friday is our first Social Studies test over Ch. 1. A study guide was sent home on Friday. Please review nightly.
