Dear Parents,
Please remember that the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) are being given this week. It is very important for children to get plenty of sleep each night and eat a good breakfast each morning. It is also very imperative that children arrive at 8:00 each morning so we may start our testing as soon as morning procedures have been completed. Remember to have your pencils and erasers with you!
Due to our ITBS testing this week, I moved memory work until Friday and there will not be a spelling test this week.
This week we begin a Reading/Social Studies unit focused around the American Girls series (yes boys, you will enjoy this unit too). Please see the reverse side for a list of the books, as well as unit objectives.
Please find the note about the costumes for the musical in today’s papers.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the lif everlasting. Amen.
