Dear Parents,

Happy New Year! I hope that you had a blessed Christmas holiday.

This week we begin the novel, Little House in the Big Woods. Please note the reading assignments for each week on this sheet ---I recommend that your child reviews the chapters that we read in class daily. There will be a unit packet (ask to see this regularily), quizzes over the readings, and the final AR test over the novel.

Friday ends the 2^nd grading period. Report cards will be handed out next week.

Please continue to read the information on the school website. You will also find this letter, along with the memory work for the semester.

Little House reading: Chapters 1-4 (tentatively)

Math facts: x 7, x 2 (review) please practice daily at home

Memory work (due Thursday):

The Fifth Commandment: You shall not murder.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each

other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
