Dear Parents,
Last week we began multiplication. It is very important for children to continually practice these facts at home, as well as review addition and subtraction facts.
We are taking a short break from our reading book. Last week we began the chapter book, The Boxcar Children. Please review the day’s reading with your child, as well as the skills covered in their red packet. There will be a final test over the book, as well as some short projects.
We have two special events this week---a recycling presentation, and a health educator speaking on keeping our bodies clean. Please ask your child about these special activities.
Multiplication family this week: x1, x10
Reading this week: Boxcar Children Ch. 2-7 (tentatively)
Memory Work (due Thursday):
The Second Commandment: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
Matthew 1:21 You are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.
Psalm 50:15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.
