Thank you for your interest in Christ Lutheran School. This letter along with the enclosed sheets will give you basic information about our school. In addition to religion instruction, we offer a complete curriculum in all of the “core” subjects (reading, phonics, language, math, science, spelling, social studies) which has consistently left our students well prepared for high school and beyond. We also have graded classroom music instruction, computer classes and physical education classes.
Our congregation also operates a preschool / child care program, as well as a before school and after school “latch key” program for students in grades K through 8. We have at least one computer in each classroom and a computer lab that contains 25 Dell computers for student use. We have an active library with more that 7,000 titles. We have a tremendous reading program called the Accelerated Reader Program, in which all students participate.
All students in the school are members of their classroom choirs, and handbell choir is offered to students in 6th through 8th grades. A band program is available at reasonable fees to students in 4th through 8th grades. Students in grades 5 through 8 may participate in inter-school athletic competition in girl’s volleyball, boy’s baseball and boy’s and girl’s basketball, cheerleading and track.
Christ Lutheran provides an excellent education, but our best feature is the Christian training we provide. It is our goal to help your child grow in faith and to build a strong foundation for life. God’s word reminds us of this in Matthew 7:24-25, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had foundation on the rock.” And again in Proverbs 22:6 we hear, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We look forward to working with you to help carry out these loving instructions from our Lord.
If you wish to pursue enrollment for your child, please call to make an appointment to meet with me and see our school. Again, thank you for your interest. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you and your family.
